William Wilson is Managing Director, Head of Leveraged Finance in the New York office of Imperial Capital.
Mr. Wilson has over 24 years of investment banking experience, most recently as a Managing Director and
Co-Head of the Debt Capital Markets Group at Stifel where he supervised a team of professionals who
structured and distributed private loans and bonds and directly lead to origination efforts for Energy, Retail
and Consumer Products, Gaming, Shipping and Specialty Finance sectors. He also worked as a Managing
Director in the Capital Markets Group at CRT Capital LLC, where he was responsible for originating and
executing special situations debt transactions with a focus on private high yield bonds. Prior to that, he was
Head of Capital Markets at The PrinceRidge Group LLC where he co-founded the Corporate Finance
group. Mr. Wilson’s experience also includes UBS Securities, where he was a Managing Director and Bear,
Stearns & Co., Inc. in New York and London where he was a Senior Managing Director and headed Bear’s
European Leveraged Finance Group. Prior to Bear, Stearns & Co, Mr. Wilson was with Credit Suisse and
its predecessor firm, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities (DLJ), ultimately being promoted to Managing
Director, High Yield Capital Markets in the Investment Banking division of their London office. Mr. Wilson
received an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird Global School of Management at the University of Arizona and a
M.A. from the University of Cambridge.
